New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is Hiring a Music Teacher Near Albuquerque, NM
The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Early Childhood Program is seeking an experienced and qualified Music Teacher for our site-based preschool and kindergarten program in Albuquerque. Music teacher will plan and implement musical instruction for students who are visually impaired, including those with multiple impairments. Goals include helping a diverse population of students to learn music appreciation, vocal performance and/or learning to explore and play musical instruments while enhancing academic learning. Must have current or be eligible for a New Mexico PED Licensure in music; Preschool and Special Education background/experience strongly preferred. The successful candidate must become licensed as a teacher of the visually impaired; Full-time, 9-month certified position for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications accepted until filled.
