APC Spare Parts coordinator will need to cover multiple positions within the department. A good background in technical information and research is required as well as good computer and customer relation skills are necessary.
Daily tasks/responsibilities:
• Create quotes to customers, research old quotes for technical information, deliver quote to customer effectively.
• Create Request For Quotes and execute purchase orders to vendors for warehouse re-stock & dropship items.
• Process quotes into parts sales and execute shipping information (freight pick-ups, packing documents, etc) for warehouse to be able to pack and perform delivery.
• Ability to follow customers PO instructions in a very detailed manner to ensure efficient invoicing with little to no issues.
• Comprehend and translate customer technical requests into valid part numbers and information with the use of drawings and historical sales.
• Work with project managers to create parts lists/bill of materials as part of larger projects.
An integral part of position is also the logistics of shipping/freight internationally which will include:
• Creation of packing slips, bill of materials and other shipping documents.
• Understanding of current CUSMA guidelines and ability to successfully get items in and out of the country while working with importers/exporters and customers to ensure timely delivery.
• Overseeing shipments, ability to track all manners of freight (air,sea,ground) and quickly communicate delivery date/times to customer, management and accounting.
Skills required for this position:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, GP ERP, Outlook, Etc.)
• 3 years technical background working in an industrial environment, industrial support or general customer service role. Understanding air pollution control products is a bonus.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings, interpret measurements and details and efficiently communicate that information to customers and vendors.
• Excellent communication skills (email, phone, etc) on a regular basis with customers, vendors and co-workers
• Quick acting to respond and resolve issues with emergency shipments, logistics issues, etc.
• Self-starter and ability to work individually to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency
• Must be able to work well in a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers
• Understanding of resell/drop-ship of items based on intellectual property and sales history
Position is in-person at the Pelham, AL warehouse with focus on APC parts division.
