Warehouse Switcher Driver

The Switcher Driver will work closely with New Life Transport Parts Center's Warehouse Team to provide exceptional speed and accuracy at our Byron Center, MI location. This position is crucial in ensuring that the shipping/receiving docks have an a constant flow of empty and loaded trailers that are positioned safely, accurately, and efficiently.

This is a entry to mid-level opportunity, and for the right individual, this role will lead to growth within the company with future opportunities for advancement! This position is Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years switcher operating / day cab / warehouse / distribution experience.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to effectively operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs individually, and up to 100lbs with the help of other associates.
• Ability to work in a fast paced Warehouse environment.
• Good communication and active listening skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely move trailers between Warehouses within the New Life property.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of trailers at docks.
• Work with Transportation and Warehouse Operations teams to prioritize tasks.
• Ensure switcher equipment is in safe working order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
