About the Role:
The Utility-Scale Project Developer’s priorities are to originate and develop buildable, profitable utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You will nurture relationships with local stakeholders, including landowners, local governments, utilities, policy-makers, and others. With the support of the Policy and Business Development Director, you will be the primary expert in the company for your markets, and must either already possess or quickly develop fundamental market knowledge in order to create and execute on a successful project development plan.

Compensation
New Leaf Energy compensates all employees in three ways: market-competitive base salary, plus above-market variable compensation, plus an equity-like program such that all employees experience the benefits of ownership. We use a data-driven and transparent methodology to calibrate compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable, guided by the New Leaf Energy compensation manual, which is available to all employees.
The base salary for this position is up to $138,000 depending on experience. Total compensation for this position, however, is primarily driven by our generous project incentive plan, which compensates developers through a profit-sharing mechanism on successfully developed projects. A bi-weekly draw against future incentive payments is also offered to increase your effective base compensation. The program is generous and industry-leading, and we’re glad to go into more detail in the interview process.
