New Jersey Water Supply Authority has a full-time position for a Security Officer at the Spruce Run Reservoir, located in Clinton, NJ. Current available shift: nights, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

NJWSA’s water system is made up of the Round Valley, Spruce Run and Manasquan Reservoirs, as well as 60 miles of the D&R Canal system. Clean water is our most precious resource, and two million NJ residents depend upon us to guarantee the continuation of this resource. Our Security Officers play a key role in maintaining the security and safety of our facilities and water systems. Officers are trained to monitor water supply facilities associated with Spruce Run and Round Valley Reservoirs, and report all unusual conditions as directed. Each shift is usually divided between vehicle and walking patrol of a number of designated areas, in addition to monitoring remote systems from the security office.

A successful candidate requires one year of experience in the safeguarding of property and persons or the equivalent in military service. Additionally, a valid driver’s license is required and NJ residency is required within the first year of employment.

This is a Bargaining Unit position with exceptional holiday, vacation, and sick time benefits. The starting rate is $19.89 per hour, with overtime opportunities. Additionally, as a NJ public body, we are able to offer a generous benefit package through the NJ Division of Pensions and Benefits.
