As the Manager Retail Marketing, you will be responsible for developing the messaging and positioning for NJR Home Services. The Manager will conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. This role will be the expert in the retail audience; buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel. This individual will have a high-level understanding the key business processes, business drivers, roles/responsibilities of decision makers and influencers, common issues and obstacles faced in our retail business(es), regulatory requirements and other distinctive industry attributes. Maintain industry expertise with relevant research, implementation of primary research, participation at industry events and customer meetings. Major Responsibilities: Develop product, services, and contract messaging that differentiates our products in the market.Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the offerings to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process.Product launch – participate in the launch of new products and services and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on competition.Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand within our industry.Work with corporate communications to develop effective communications and advertising.Manage all marketing programs within budget targets, ensure the maximum return on marketing investments and report on program performance.Track record of establishing short- and long-term market and product and services growth goals, then executing operating plans to achieve them.Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning.Develop pricing and packaging strategies.Manage NJRHS web site content and promotions.Work with the IT department to strategize and facilitate online marketing initiatives.Act as liaison between Home Service and Customer Service to ensure timely and consistent communication between departments.Manage the customer service/dispatch incentive program to increase service contract sales and retention.Monitor weekly and monthly sales to ensure adherence to the program.Report monthly and year to date results of program.Produce monthly commission report for payroll.Produce and distribute month-end operating, monthly escalated complaint reports and quarterly sales commission reports. Position Specifications: A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communication studies, business administration or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.5 years of product and retail services marketing experience, HVAC industry-specific knowledge preferred.Very strong written communication skills.Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.Knowledge of the Internet and prior experience utilizing the web as a marketing vehicleDemonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategiesExcellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiencesAbility to do handle trade show and/or consumer outreach initiativesSeasoned experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel * The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary. New Jersey Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
