Title: Administrative Coordinator
Department: Off of Access Res and Servs (OARS)
Reports To: Vice Provost for UG Studies
Position Type: Staff
Position Summary: The administrative coordinator for the Office ofAccessibility Resources and Services and Placement Testing will assist the twooffices in implementing procedures to provide reasonable accommodations tostudents. In addition, the administrative coordinator will help administerEnglish and Math placement assessments.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, andother campus personnel to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help with the distribution of OARS Letter ofAccommodation Eligibility.
- Proctor exams as needed.
- Filing of OARS Documents for new students.
- Maintain OARS Website.
- Maintain a list of new incoming first-yearstudents.
- Maintain Google form for placement testregistration.
- Assist with the management of placementtesting emails.
- Maintain Placement Testing Website.
- Assist with the management of phone calls andother clerical duties.
- Assist with management outreach correspondence.
- Manage OARS students who need accommodationsfor placement test.
Additional Functions:
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in order to be able to analyze, and investigate ADA related concerns or problems.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of department and university matters.
- May oversee student workers.
- Direct students to the proper location to take exams.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling,social work, Psychology, or a related field. Knowledge of academic support forSTEM majors.
- Qualified candidates must demonstrateknowledge of the issues related to post-secondary academic support, bestpractices, and innovations.
- Candidate must have excellent oral and writtencommunication skills and experience working with diverse populations ofstudents.
- Technical skills and the ability to usespreadsheets and university student databases.
- Must be available for some weekends for OARScommon exams.
- Must be available on some weekends forplacement Testing.
- Must have a basic understanding of Banner,Slate, Canvas, and Mobius to support the onboarding of incoming students.
- At the university'sdiscretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted wherethe candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, anequivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing thecandidate for success in the position.

- Prior experience working in a STEM higher education setting.
