New Jersey Dept of Children & Families is Hiring a Teacher (Posting #220-24) Near Cape May, NJ

The Department of Children and Families, Office of Education has an immediate need for a Teacher at the Cape May Campus located in Cape May Court House, NJ.

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Educational Programs or Assistant Supervisor of Educational Programs, the Teacher plans, executes, and evaluates the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class or classes; exercising independent judgement and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations and policies; does other related duties as required.

Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.

SPECIAL NOTE: Possibility of being an itinerant position.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Position requires possession of a valid standard teacher certification or valid Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education, in the following subject content area:* Teacher of English

SPECIAL NOTE: Experience teaching special needs and/or at-risk students is preferred.

LICENSE: Possession of valid Standard Certificate issued by the State Board of Examiners of the New Jersey Department of Education with an endorsement in subject area(s) determined appropriate by the Appointing Authority.

SPECIAL NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move, and position students as needed.

SALARY: $60,062.18 - $78,430.65, commensurate with certificate and experience.
