Our Engineering Team:

New Horizon’s engineering team exists to support the operations of our facilities by completing projects requiring multiple skill sets in engineering, design, manufacture, and integration of systems to continuously improve our company. This includes metal fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, electrical, plumbing, installation, overhaul, and commissioning of these systems.

This opportunity is not limited to but includes assisting with mechanical and electrical installation work. This individual needs to be self-motivated and reliant. Must have a strong work ethic, can multi-task with many different jobs in any given day. The candidate must be able to set and meet deadlines and understand and do necessary paperwork associated with this task. Mechanical skills are required and a background in commercial baking industry would be beneficial.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000, based on experience

Responsibilities and Duties (all not required to apply)

Work (4) 10 hour days 6 am – 4:30 pm shift
Flexibility to perform multiple technical trades, which includes some electrical and mechanical.
Electrical installation, 24V and 120 vac controls
Experience with 460-volt 3 phase
Diagnose, disassemble then reassemble and test items to be refurbished including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical & mechanical systems.
Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing components.
Frequent use of hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 3-year experience in an electro-mechanical industrial environment
Able to work with 50% to 100% completed blueprints and schematics
Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and perform accurate measurements.
Ability to use power and hand tools.
Machine assembly, rigging, welding, wiring, or machining experience would be desirable.
Good communication skills with both managers and co-workers
Excellent work ethic.
Ability to work individually without constant supervision as well as in group environments.
Desire and ability to work overtime when necessary.
Basic experience with drafting/modeling software (Autodesk AutoCAD or Dassault Systems Draftsight, Fusion 360)
Basic Microsoft Office products skills necessary.
