Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Front DeskTeam as a Medical Receptionist.In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing basic front desk support for our Queens behavioral health outpatient clinics. This position’s primary focus points are managing provider schedules, including entering schedules into electronic system and confirming appointments.
Job Responsibilities include but,are not limited to the following
Provides reception assistance (i.e. greet patients, answer calls, requests for assistance are directed to proper individual, etc.).
Screens telephone callers in pleasant and a professional manner; handles calls; take messages or directs caller to appropriate person or area.
Schedules appointments and follow ups for visits.
Responsible for daily confirmation of patient appointments, with appropriate notations in system.
Manage schedule to ensure no gaps in scheduling system.
Responsible for patient check-in and check-out.
Gathers all patient demographic related data and materials from patients and/or their representatives.
On subsequent visits, asks them to verify demographic info and makes any necessary edits.
Responsible for collecting co pays and any other balances owed to organization. Scan all necessary documents (insurance cards, lab requisitions, etc.) into the EMR system.
May be responsible for getting pre-authorizations.
Maintains cooperative and professional relationships with providers and office staff.
Performs other duties as assigned
The right candidate must be flexible, with some college and/or experience working in an outpatient settingand possess great telephone and interaction skills. We are looking for motivated and assertive individuals, that willing to grow with the company.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills
Strong customer service skills
The ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of health insurance is a plus
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Flexible hours (Full-Time)
Some weekend hours and/or evening hours may be required
.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
