About New Hope

New Hope for Families provides emergency overnight shelter to families and offers accredited preschool at our early learning center. Together, our programs help solve family homelessness and set families up for long term success.

New Hope’s shelter program provides emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness. We provide shelter for up to 12 families at a time. Families bunk in a private, locked bedroom and share a common kitchen, dining space, and laundry room with other residents. We have 3 suites that accommodate 4 families each. The case management team focuses on locating affordable, stable housing for families as quickly as possible. Families enter shelter if they face literal street homelessness, and exit shelter to a lease in their name; more than 8 in 10 do, and they do it in about 3 months on average. While families do participate in some shared chores, we rely on staff to provide consistent, high-quality cleaning in the shelter.
