Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals. Responsibilities: - Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor - Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner - Collect and update patient information in the electronic medical records system - Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area - Process payments and handle financial transactions accurately - Provide general information about pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive treatments - Coordinate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure smooth workflow Skills: - Proficient in animal restraint techniques for various species - Knowledge of equine care and handling is a plus - Familiarity with dog training methods and behavior management - Understanding of veterinary terminology and medical procedures - Basic knowledge of animal husbandry practices - Ability to handle veterinary critical care situations calmly and efficiently - Experience working in a kennel or animal boarding facility is beneficial - Strong dog handling skills, including leash control and basic obedience commands - Familiarity with laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing - Excellent pet care knowledge, including nutrition, grooming, and exercise requirements We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
