Job Summary:
We are seeking full and part time (variety of shifts available) skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technicians/Assistants to join our team.

As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant, you will assist our veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your role will involve various responsibilities, including animal handling, pet care, and assisting with medical procedures. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Take and develop x-rays
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their anesthesia during procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress
- Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean work environment

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology
- Proficient in pet care techniques including grooming, feeding, and exercise
- Experience in handling dogs and other animals with care and compassion
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques for maintaining a sterile environment
- Ability to perform animal catheterization as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Veterinary Technician certification preferred
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both clients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
