Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care for South Hampton Roads and Eastern North Carolina coverage area

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
-Active Virginia and or North Carolina NP licensure, Board Certification, willingness to travel within a 50 mile radius with mileage and/or gas reimbursement
-Professionalism
-Self-starter, being a “travel” position
-Motivated to manage personal clinical schedule, impeccable bedside manner, thoughtful and compassionate care
-Immediate part time starting hours
-Flexible schedule working 8 hour days
-Professional Liability and Malpractice insurance, company apparel, iPad and/or laptop, and in-house scheduling provided
-In home lasting between thirty minutes to one hour
DUTIES:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, with a focus on geriatric care in the patient's home or place of residence in the South Hampton Roads and/or Eastern North Carolina Region
- Conduct health assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide preventive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Offer health coaching and education to patients and their families to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing.
- Conduct utilization reviews to evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of healthcare services.
- Prescribe medications, including psychopharmacology, as needed.
