Duties:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction to secondary school students in English classes
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Utilize library services to enhance student learning and promote literacy
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention
- Participate in education administration activities, such as parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings
- Offer tutoring or additional assistance to students who need extra support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid North Dakota teaching license
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with intervention practices for students with special needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children
