New England Family Eye is an optometry office opening late May 2024 and we’re looking for the right person to join our staff. Although optical experience is a plus; if you have a driven and positive attitude, we are more than happy to train you and help you succeed. Our top priorities are making sure we create not only a positive environment for our patients, but our staff as well. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic person looking to join a supportive team that feels like a family, this is the place for you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting frames that suit their style and preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements
- Prepare work orders for the laboratory to fabricate lenses according to prescription specifications
- Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
- Keep accurate records of customer prescriptions and orders
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
Experience:
MA licensed optician highly encouraged to apply
