Description:
New England Dermatology & Laser Center has been providing dermatology care to the greater Springfield community for over 50 years. We're growing and looking for an experienced Histotech, ASCP, HT or HTL with initiative & conscientious work ethics to join our busy specialty practice.
The histotech is responsible for performing all aspects of the daily operation of the histology laboratory including processing, embedding, slide preparation, staining, antibody titer preparation, equipment maintenance, supply and reagent inventory maintenance, record retention and other related tasks. This position requires extreme accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency. Professional, flexible, team player. Some in-person patient interaction.

M-F 7:30a-4p, 40 hours per week (30-minute non-paid lunch)

This position reports to Mohs Surgical Center Supervisor.

Requirements:
1-3 years histotech experience in paraffin and frozen section techniques. A.S.C.P certification preferred, H.T. or H.T.L. required. Associate of Science degree in biology or related field, Histotech Certificate from an accredited school or military medical lab training course required. Bachelor of Science degree in biology or related field from an accredited school preferred.
