JOB DUTIES – SPECIALISTS:•Teach and support students in specified grades and various specialist subjects (art, music, physical education, health, mindfulness, etc.) with culturally responsive and linguistically sustaining teaching practices during the Summer Academy•Utilize positive classroom management techniques and be responsive to student diversity and cultures•Support content teachers through the development of activities that support and elevate the instructional focus•Differentiate services and instruction to meet variety of student learning needs and strengths•Maintain a safe and welcoming environment•Carry out arrival, dismissal, and lunch duties•Maintain active communication with families to recruit students for the program, provide program information, ensure student daily attendance, maintain family engagement, and to communicate about students’ academic and social progress•Collect student data and maintain attendance records as required•Fulfill all pre-summer duties including attendance at informational Zooms, PDs, planning sessions, and making phone calls to families.•Submit lesson plans as required•Perform other duties as assigned by the site administrator, program facilitator, and district Out of School Time Manager
