New Bedford Public Schools is Hiring an Early College Instructional Support Liaison (Part-Time) Near New Bedford, MA

Description: NBPS is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic educator committed to the implementation of the Early College Program at New Bedford High School. Responsibilities: Collaborate with teachers, counselors, post-secondary institutions, and other organizations for the implementation of New Bedford High School Early College programAssist students will Early College enrollment processCoordinate under direction of the College and Career Information Coordinator the recruitment and marketing of early college pathwaysCoordinate all enrollment procedures under the direction of the College and Career Information CoordinatorPlan and execute enrollment and celebration events for Early CollegeCollect, analyze, and monitor student data Complete reports for DESE and other partnersCollaborate with school counselors to provide support for students experiencing challenges with Early CollegePersonalize and scaffold supports for students in Early College classes based on student needsAct as first point of contact for college instructorsPlan and attend fieldtrips for Early College students Maintain electronic records of Early College studentsComplete exit interviews with students who leave the programAttend professional development related to instruction, early college, post-secondary planning, and other instructional related topicsAny other additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by the Curriculum Data and Assessment Manager and building administratorDesired skills: Proficiency with technology, especially the use of spreadsheetsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPassion for assisting students with transition from high school to collegeAbility to both work independently and collaborate with internal and external partnersExperience working with high school or college students, in advising or counseling or a related area, desired but not required Reports to: District College & Career Information Coordinator and NBHS Associate PrincipalEmail Jennifer Just McGuire, College & Career Information Coordinator, with any questions: jmcguire@newbedfordschools.org
