MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

You will be an instrumental part of the Digital Storytelling Team. As a Graphic Designer you will be responsible for ideation, creation, and execution of original design concepts (season after season), that meet the brand quality standards, consider the environmental footprint and deliver great consumer experiences.

Your primary focus will be crafting brand right industry defining packaging solutions for our collaboration partners, global ambassadors, athletes, Numeric and Inline teams across footwear and apparel. You will also help the storytelling team create cross product guidelines and tools to enable strong storytelling and product consistency.

The Team.

The Storytelling team is an art studio embedded within product creation, we transform ideas into captivating visualizations and experiences that look and feel NB using current and leading digital tools as a medium.

Key Partners.

You will build relationships with a variety of cross-functional teams across the product organization; Footwear, Apparel, and Global Collab Product Teams (Design, Product Management, Development) and the Brand Design.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in graphic design or relevant experience or related field. (Packaging design experience a plus).
  • Digitally savvy; highly proficient using the Adobe Suite, has experience working in 3D (or strong desire to learn and apply into workflow).
  • Expert in graphic and print design with a solid eye for composition, a strong understanding of typography, and experience with Brand Guidelines, Illustrations skills a plus.
  • Understanding of artwork setup, prepping files for print production, using templates mechanicals, RGB vs CMYK vs the Pantone color matching system. (Packaging construction a plus)
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills (visual and verbal) with ability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations to different audiences.
  • Obsessed with research, from our brand partners and the athletes that the team works with to sport, culture, and product trends (share relevant insights and opportunities with team).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to track key dates and deliverables.
  • Collaborative teammate that communicates regularly to internal and external.
  • Actively participates in team, design and brand events and meetings.
  • AAS, B.A. or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field preferred
  • Occasional travel

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
