JOB MISSION:

As the Associate Product Manager, Promotional Apparel you have significant responsibility of partnering on pinnacle global race events to lead the development, order management & delivery processes to ensure successful project completion.

You will also partner w/ select NB corporate categories where you will influence strategy, provide project guidance/options/timelines, design, costing, sourcing, development and purchasing processes, to ultimately deliver the promotional apparel needs of your customer.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• You will be responsible for the executing and/or oversight of the development, ordering & logistic processes of NB’s pinnacle global marathon & race category.
• You will drive to meet calendar deadlines and requirements specific to each project ensuring contractual requirements, budgets and partnership expectations are upheld.
• You will be key contact for factory communication of development processes.
• You will work cross functionally w/ all in-line apparel specialists to align processes or develop work-around processes to mitigate obstructions.
• You will ensure development, purchasing, pricing processes follow NB process structure and derivations to processes are transparent to leadership within those process areas.
• You will have ownership of select categories where you will strategically consult and execute. Categories include NB Cause Marketing, Tennis and select partnerships. Execution includes project consultation, design, development through to final delivery, ensuring cost, quality and on-time delivery of all NB marketing initiatives are met.
• You will stay current with the performance sport industry fashion, product, and technology trends, new and innovative product ideas, competitive landscape and market intelligence.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor’s degree required plus 5 years of apparel product industry experience.
• Industry experience with apparel design, development, manufacturing, and distribution life cycle.
• Proficient understanding of the apparel product creation process
• General knowledge of fabrications, trims, and costing.
• Excellent organizational & follow through skills.
• Strong communication & collaboration skills. Must be able to clearly communicate technical aspects to non-technical teams. Ability to develop business relationships.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel required – as needed.

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
