Overview

Job Title: Capital Markets Technical Analyst

Pay: 65K-75K DOE

Location: Tustin, CA (remote/hybrid – 2 days a week if located within 30 miles of corporate)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

As a Capital Markets Technical Analyst at New American Funding, you will be a key member of our Capital Markets team, supporting operations, data analysis, profitability, and insights to optimize our Capital Markets operations. Your role will involve assisting with permissions management, technical support, software documentation and training, quality assurance, data analysis, monitoring market trends, and conducting research. You will collaborate interdepartmentally with sales, administrators, finance, human resources and other teams within the organization to enhance profitability and manage risk within our Capital Markets division.

Responsibilities

  • Permissions Management – Maintain user credentials and permission levels within our product and pricing engine for recruiting and onboarded users.
  • Manage user credentials, work groups, and access levels within internal capital marketing reporting suite.
  • Technical Support – Provide a first point of contact for end user support for our internal capital markets reporting suite. Escalate issues to appropriate contact points as needed to ensure issue resolution.
  • Documentation Creation and Maintenace – Design and build documentation to support software systems within the Capital Markets department for end users, including our pricing and product engine and our internal corporate reporting software. This documentation can include Job Aids, software release notes, policy and procedure documents, and fully developed User Guides.
  • Training - Provide regular training sessions to end users of our internal capital markets reporting software. Gather feedback and enhancement requests from end users and provide to Capital Markets Analytics team for future software development planning.
  • Quality Assurance - Support the development and maintenance of internal capital markets reporting software suite through enhancement testing and completion of provided QA scenarios. Consistently ensure integrity and accuracy of data prior to release.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with teams across the organization, including sales, finance, risk management, and IT, to ensure interdepartmental success.
  • Market Research and Compliance - Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and changes in market dynamics. Conduct research on the mortgage industry, loan pricing, and market trends to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Continuous Learning - Stay informed about industry trends, market research, and best practices in capital markets to contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, IT, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the mortgage industry, with 3 years of experience in capital markets / secondary marketing.
  • Ability to provide technical support and software training to end users from all levels within an organization.
  • Competency in designing and completing comprehensive software and data quality assurance scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, interpret results and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance considerations related to capital markets activities.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
