Location: 1215 Loop Rd Lancaster, PA 17601

Shift: Day Shift

Duration: Summer

THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROGRAM ARE: 

  • To develop the knowledge and theory you have learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting
  • For you to be able to articulate and identify what you have learned from the experience
  • To enable you to better articulate why (or why not) you are interested in this potential career path
  • To gain exposure in the distribution and logistics of outbound shipments in inbound raw materials.
  • Experience the day-to-day operations of distribution.

WHAT YOU WILL GET OUT OF THE PROGRAM:

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Support new product warehousing implementations and corresponding process documentation.
  • Support process improvements to the flow of raw materials and supplies from the DC to the Plant.
  • Coordinate training and support start up activities of new processes and layout changes.
  • Support improvements to the return process.
  • Proactively provide engineering and day to day support to the DC team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Logistics
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening
  • Positive and Verifiable Work History
  • Must follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes, and other PPE as needed
  • Desire to learn, self-starter, analytical problem solving

  • Push, pull, carry and lift 20 - 50lbs
  • Walking, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements
