Receives purchase orders daily, via website, fax, e-mail & mail. Checks for completeness and accuracy of order. If there are pricing issues, distributes to appropriate Customer Service Representative. Pro-actively contacts customers for order discrepancies, back orders, or other issues.

Reviews all pricing and commissions to verify they match the most current standards by keeping updated about any changes and/or current projects. Maintains a compilation of customer accounts and applicable commission codes and matches those to incoming orders and pricing structure.

Enters all orders, including literature & RMA requests, into the manufacturing system according to policies and procedures within 24-48 hours of receipt.

Enter lead times according to production, model, stock, availability, marketing promotions, contests or any other special program implemented by marketing and/or sales. Must keep updated about any changes in the lead times and product updates or changes. Checks finished work for accuracy, neatness and conformance to department standards.

Runs acknowledgements & invoices, matches to original orders, files & maintains file system.

Learns new products and stays abreast of current shortages, quality holds, promotionals, special deals, extended or shortened lead times.

Working as part of Logistics team, cross-trains and performs responsibilities of other departmental duties such as, but not limited to, Scheduling and Trafficking areas. Acts as primary back-up for RMA/Warranty requests.

Any other duties as directed by supervisor or officer of the company.

Required Attributes

• Two years previous data entry or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to figure percentages and perform mathematical problems.
• Must be self-sufficient and able to work autonomously.
• Proven history of above average attendance.
• Must be able to adjust to demand of workflow.
• Must be able to operate in MS Office environment.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Exposure or general knowledge of manufacturing environment or processes.
• Experience with computer-based ordering systems.

Equipment

MS Office Suite, PC, general office equipment, calculator, fax, multi-extension telephones and e-mail.
