Washington's leading provider of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS Therapy) is now hiring a Medical Billing Associate to join our hard working billing team.

Our independent, state-of-the-art TMS Treatment Centers are dedicated to offering all mental health professionals and their patients one of the most advanced options for treating major depressive disorder, postpartum depression, anxiety disorders including OCD, PTSD, general anxiety disorder, and other mood disorders. We offer a non-invasive and highly effective outpatient procedure that has helped thousands of patients who have not responded well to drug therapy.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Medical Biller who can work both independently and as part of a team. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Primary responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Payment reconciliation - via Lockbox, CC, ACH, and EFT
  • Complete Lockbox documentation and payment application/disbursement
  • Apply patient payments and manage patient account statements
  • Respond in a timely manner to medical records requests
  • Manage Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare Charge Slips and Claims
  • Complete Chart Audits ensuring accurate chart demographics for a smooth claims process
  • Support Coordinator and Tech Teams with billing questions and issues
  • Respond to patient calls, emails, and other requests regarding billing
  • Monitor insurance fee schedules for changes
  • Monitor payer ERA files to identify any reimbursement or denial trends
  • Conduct duties in a professional and timely manner
  • Resolve claims denials, submit corrected claims and prepare appeal information
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of related medical office administrative experience
  • Outgoing and well-spoken with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze and problem solve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with exposure to data management software
  • Billing software knowledge
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD, and procedural modifiers
  • Follow-Up experience with insurance companies and patients for complete claims processing and maximum payment

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations and terminology
  • Bachelor’s Degree

This position can be located at any one of our current locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
