- Commitment Requirement: 2 Years.
The position is for a full-time foreign medical graduate for a physician extender role. Practice is a Neurology, Physical Medicine, Orthopedics, and General Medicine mixed outpatient only medical practice with multiple locations in Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island.

- Seeking to hire a Physician Extender who will be responsible for assisting with clinical work and seeing patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and ability to write consultation notes and complete charts efficiently.
- There are 3 positions open for this role currently and we are interviewing now for May 2024 start date.
- This is an in-person position. Not remote work.
- This role is ideal for a medical graduate who is eager to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical, clinical setting.
- In this role as a Clinical Assistant and Physician Extender, you will play a critical role in supporting our medical team and enhancing patient care. In the past, every clinical assistant and medical student has matched the year following their start date, and we hope to keep this tradition intact. In keeping with our past history, 3 members of our team will be transitioning to residency after the Match this year, and their positions will be open starting May of 2024.
Specifics:
- 16-18 days of clinic per month
- Either M-Th, W-Sa, Tu-F, Th-M. Flexible schedule.
- Clinical hours are: 9AM - 6PM.
- Outpatient only.
- 2-3 days in each clinic location.
- Must be able to commute to all clinic locations reliable.
- Clinics are in Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island.

Physician Extender Responsibilities:
- Seeing consults and follow ups.
- Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Finishing all clinic notes with accuracy.
- Helping with patient call backs and developing treatment plans.
- Following up on test results.
Requirements for Physician Extender:
- Highly motivated
- Willingness to learn
- Speed with documentation and history taking
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent writing skills
- Must be comfortable with EMR.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- Prior experience with taking a medical history, scribing encounters efficiently, and completing medical documentation/paperwork is preferred.
- Must have graduate medical degree (MD or DO or MBBS).
- US medical licensing is not required.
- Must be legally allowed to work in NYS (e.g. active work visa, or US citizen, etc.)
