This position is a network architect/consultant for the Ohio Department of Transportation's Network, Security, and Telecom Team that is part of the Infrastructure Management Section.
Experience:
Extensive enterprise networking knowledge and skills: Wide Area Networks (WAN). Local Area Networks (LAN), Storage Area Networks (SAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), Data Center Networks, Routing, Switching, IPv4/IPv6, SD-WAN, Voice Over IP (VoIP), and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Enterprise security knowledge and skills: Internet/DMZ/Internal Firewalls, Identity Access Management (IAM), Penetration Testing, Risk Management, Security Information Event Management (SIEM), and Web Proxy Services.
Cisco IOS network device administration, architecture, and installation experience, with extensive knowledge of frame switching, VLANs, VRF, BGP, EIGRP, NAT, PAT, VoIP, and QoS.
Cisco Firepower/ASA firewall administration skills including configuring and troubleshooting standard and extended ACLs, NAT, PAT, Cisco Secure client connections, and site-to-site VPNs using IKEv1/v2 and IPSec.
Network device configuration and infrastructure automation skills using tools including PowerShell, Python, Docker, Ansible, SQL databases, APIs, Cisco DNA, and SD-WAN.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to quickly understand, discuss, and document complex technical concepts in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
4 years' experience as a network architect/engineer for a large enterprise network and security environment (150 network connected sites and 3000 users).
