Headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, NRI is an established CMMI Maturity Level 3 and ISO 9001: 2015, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO 14001 Certified Small Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business.Clearance: **Must have an Active Secret Clearance**Position Description:Network Runners, Inc is seeking a Senior IT Analyst (Cyber Security Specialist) to provide IT management support for human resources and management to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain IT management oversight for the current footprint (e.g. systems, capabilities, technology).
- Provide strategy and guidance on the integration of existing communications into a cohesive structured approach and constantly assess new communication technologies and make recommendations as to their impact on the mission.
- Provide technical and system administration support; support the operations and maintenance aspects of deployed IT capabilities; support the development of new IT capabilities; support the development of system security documentation on both new and previously deployed capabilities.
- Identify risks in office IT systems by working with the appropriate stakeholders to implement a response.
- Interact with customers to include providing desk-side support, training, troubleshooting and advice on IT related issues, as needed.
- In accordance with DoDI 8530.01, provide guidance and monitoring support to government sponsor with regard to cybersecurity protection of the DoD Information Network (IN) (DoDIN) duties including but not limited to:
- Vulnerability assessment and analysis.
- Vulnerability management.
- Malware protection.
- INFOSEC continuous monitoring.
- Cyber incident handling.
- DoDIN user activity monitoring for the DoD Insider Threat Program.
- Warning intelligence and attack sensing and warning
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, of which at least 5 years must be in relevant IT management support.
- Strong problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and a proven ability to work with Senior Executives efficiently and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office to include PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel
- Ability to work in a dynamic government work environment and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work alone on individual projects while being involved in larger projects as a team effort.
- Familiarity with DoDI 8530.01
- Familiarity and experience working with Joint Service Provider
- Experience in project management, operational management, strategy development, systems administration, and/or executive decision support
