Network Runners, Inc is seeking a IT Specialist (Junior) to provide public affairs (PA) and outreach support for the Office of the Under Secretary of Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Provide technical and system administration support through troubleshooting, identifying, and isolating issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing appropriate solutions to software and system anomalies as they occur
  • Prepare for government leadership and ITM, responses to application-related issues, resolving on-the-spot problems (when possible), replicating the issue for internal analysis/diagnosis, and preparing technical documentation that accurately depicts the problem and/or solution for feedback to developer/vendor/help desk
  • Support the development of new IT capabilities that will further the R&E mission and provide greater efficiency and effectiveness, Support the development of system security documentation on both new and previously deployed capabilities.
  • Help to maintain the integrity and security of R&E IT systems by identifying risks and working with the appropriate stakeholders to implement a response.
  • Interact with customers to include providing deskside support, training, troubleshooting and advice on IT related issues, as needed, Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.
  • Provide viability into the status, receipts purchasing requests, orders and shipments of equipment purchased by R&E.
  • Work with service providers to collect failure data and maintenance trends.
  • Support the operations and maintenance aspects of deployed IT capabilities.
  • Monitor the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) database to ensure all taskers are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university related to computer science/computer engineering or graphic design is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in information technology and its various components.
  • Specialized experience may include facilitation, change management, training, process reengineering, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or IT system planning and development.
  • Must be able to maintain knowledge of current system designs to connect, configure, and/or enable information systems, devices, or components as assigned.
