NetJets is Hiring a Meteorologist, Associate (NJUS) Near Columbus, OH

Purpose of Position

The primary function of this position is to provide operational weather information to company personnel, Owners, and flight crewmembers. Other duties may be assigned as needed by the Flight Planning Operations and Execution Leadership Team. The Meteorologist will utilize this knowledge to provide superior service and support to Owners, Flight Crews, and the Company, as well as share their knowledge and experience with team members in a day-to-day mentoring fashion.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Meteorological Preplanning: Analyzing current Meteorological products, create weather outlook maps, airport forecasts, flight forecasts, and passenger weather briefs.
  • Meteorological input: Monitor and re-analyze Meteorological products, outlooks, forecasts, weather comments, and update as required.
  • Monitor ATC delays. Monitor areas of Significant Weather (Flight Level Hazards). Verify destination airport runway conditions. Advise NetJets personnel of changing and hazardous weather when applicable.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, employee groups and Owners. Follow through with appropriate related departments. Meteorologist will be expected to conduct Owner, Pilot, and miscellaneous tours as needed.
  • Maintains a positive perspective on aspects of the job and company while on duty.
  • Proactively identifies potential pitfalls and makes decisions and develops solutions that adhere to NetJets' Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, employee groups and Owners. Follow through with appropriate related departments.
