GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
These examiners are responsible for performing family psychological assessments and court-ordered psychological evaluations of children in accordance with contractual obligations. They have well-developed clinical assessment skills, including psychological testing and report writing.
* These part-time positions have flexible hours, but the minimum requirement after training is completion of at least 1 case per month.
* Experience completing expert evaluations for guardianship pursuant to referrals from Adult Protective Services is a plus!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform court-ordered psychological assessments of individuals referred by the courts or children’s services agencies.
· Prepare comprehensive, professional reports to referral sources within statutory or contractual timeframes.
· Complete parent-child observations as assigned.
· Maintain timely and complete documentation of services and activities that meet the standards of Netcare and accrediting agencies.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of the theories and principles of clinical and forensic psychology, clinical assessment, and diagnosis.
· Knowledge of psychological testing principles and practices.
· Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data.
· Ability to write comprehensive and integrative reports.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
· Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others.
· Exhibits flexibility and ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work in alternate locations as assigned.
· Knowledge of legal system and pertinent Ohio revised code and ODMH statutes regarding the delivery of psychological services.
· Demonstrated experience and/or training in substance abuse disorder assessment and/or treatment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a licensed doctoral-level psychologist in the state of Ohio or approved PSYPACT provider. Prior forensic and family psychological assessment experience essential.
