Our pet food factory in Zanesville is favorably located along the banks of the Muskingum River in scenic east-central Ohio halfway between Columbus and Wheeling, West Virginia. This 100-year-old facility was acquired by Nestl Purina in 1987 and has since evolved to incorporate our innovative portfolio of products, processes, and technical equipment. Zanesville is the only Nestl Purina location that produces Alpo Meal Helpers, Moist & Meaty , and Beneful Simple Goodness for all of the United States and Canada-packaged and shipped with the utmost quality and nutrition.
Position Summary
As the Processing Operator, you will assist in the coordination and monitoring of day-to-day activities of Process I, which will include troubleshooting, lubrication, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Primary Responsibilities

• Use first in/first expired by date rotation of raw ingredients and accurate documentation of batch codes and lot numbers of ingredients being used
• Meets all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental requirements when performing job duties
• Maintain all applicable housekeeping standards.
• Perform quality testing on conventional and dust.
• Safe operation of the loader.
• Perform confined space and elevated work.
• Start-up and shutdown of process/dryer equipment.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
