NESN is Hiring a Studio Producer Near Pittsburgh, PA

The Studio Producer supporting SportsNet Pittsburgh will develop, create and line produce innovative network quality television productions of live Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins pre-game and post-game shows.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Produce live pre- and post-game shows (studio and remote) and other productions, as assigned.
  • Develop, conceive, create, and execute show rundown and editorial decisions.
  • Create and implement a focused role for all talent assigned to the telecast.
  • Work closely with on-air talent to achieve the highest level of performance.
  • May oversee the professional development, goals, and schedules of production team members.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding for the production and programming vision for the network and ensure that, pre- and post-game shows and other productions, as assigned, are consistent with SNP’s business strategy and programming and production philosophy.
  • Work closely with all facets of the production and operations staff and talent to improve shows, including aligning with coordinating producer of studio on short-term and long-term planning.
  • Plan with coordinating producer of studio ideation, rehearsal, and execution of new or realigned studio shows.
  • Provide consistent and annual feedback to various supervisors on content producer, graphic producer, editorial analyst producer and associate producer performance and development needs.
  • Make recommendations for show improvements on a consistent basis throughout the course of the season. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required. 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in sports studio show production.
  • Knowledgeable about the various aspects of TV production.
  • Solid knowledge of Pittsburgh sports teams, particularly baseball and hockey .
  • Solid internet research skills.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and professional.
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast paced, loosely structured, growing and changing work environment; must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed.
