NESN is Hiring a Game Producer (contract) Near Pittsburgh, PA

The Game Producer supporting SportsNet Pittsburgh on a contract basis, oversees the editorial aspects of the game broadcast inclusive of replays, storylines, specialty integrations, and sponsored elements. Combining with the Pirates production team, this person will create a compelling, fun telecast for the viewer that drives revenue for the network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce Pirates games either on-site or in a Cloud (RAPS) set-up.
  • Produce Spring Training games, primarily, in an at-home (REMI) model. There may also be additional SNP Live Event Broadcasts or Studio Shows on a fill-in basis.
  • Oversee storyline ideation and integration into the telecast.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments on brand/sponsor activations
  • Execute and lead game day talent.
  • Provide feed-forward and feed-back to game talent and game production personnel.
  • Support SNP Pirates studio on pregame/postgame storylines.
  • Work weekends and holidays as required by assignment. 

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Pittsburgh Pirates and their team history.
  • Strong knowledge of MLB rules and guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
