NESCO Resource is Hiring a Test Technician Near Danbury, CT

Nesco Resource is looking for a Test Technician located in Danbury, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
Pay: $21/hour
Position Overview: The Test Technician is responsible for instillation, troubleshooting and repairing of electrical, electronic, and mechanical, assemblies and systems. Work includes production, returned materials, and engineering setups, instillations, testing, certification, and repair.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Test production product to ensure proper operation per established test criteria.
  • Troubleshoot electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction.
  • Perform required repairs to return unit to operational state.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to determine route cause of issue and recommend a corrective action.
  • Set up and tests units to meet specified requirements.
  • Recognize failures and set up problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems.
  • Operate oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, power supplies, and test fixtures, and understand their use and function.
  • Operate hand tools and small power tools and understand their use and function.
  • Inspect all work before passing on to the next operations.
  • Operate and maintain Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
  • Keep Test Manager informed of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules.
  • Completes production test reports.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting (to component level), problem solving, analog, mechanical, and digital skills.
  • Experience in using DVM, Oscilloscope, hand tools and electronic test equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • Soldering skills required.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in group settings.
  • Individuals should be well organized, able to multi-task and have good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Have solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
