NESCO Resource is Hiring a Quality Engineer Near Danville, KY

General DescriptionResponsible for specific production lines and/or customer products regarding overall quality requirements and improvements, focusing on Cummins and Ford Motor Company others as necessary.
Coordination of assigned APQP projects and the development and/or update of the following: Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, APQP Documentation, PMFEA's, Inspection Instructions, and others as needed.
Development of Quality system procedures and instructions as needed to maintain Quality System.
Resolution of Customer Concerns using problem resolution tools
Facilitation of Customer PPAP submission focusing on Cummins and Ford
Trace and review status of engineering deviations and change requests.
Create and update quality documents as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
RequirementsMinimum 4 years' experience in Quality field (engineering, statistics, industrial engineering, or related)
Firm grasp and proficient in AIAG core tools
BA/BS Engineering field OR equivalent experience in quality engineering field
CompetenciesProven history of successful PPAP submissions
Problem solving using 8D, including 3L5W and other tools.
Statistical data review / collection experience (Minitab a plus)
Manufacturing experience preferably in automotive industry working for a Tier 1 supplier.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Math skills
Strong organization skills and teamwork
An understanding of stamping (progressive tools and transfer tooling), resistance welding, and molding a plus
The ability to deal with multiple priorities and deal with stressful situations.
Experience with IATF preparation and auditing.
