Training schedule would be 8 : 30am to 5pm
Once trained the permanent schedule is 3pm to 11 : 30pm
Maintenance Duties
Perform regular calibrations and preventative maintenance work on designated production equipment as assigned.
Provide support to Production by completing machine repair requests, chemical changes and tool changes on designated production equipment.
Perform general repairs on the building and grounds including rooftop filtering and HVAC equipment.
Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical problems with equipment.
Communicate equipment status to production personnel, coworkers, and management.
Seek assistance from Technical Support over the phone whilst troubleshooting machine issues.
Complete all assigned work orders and escalate where unable to complete.
Follow all procedures as written and seek advice on any deviations prior to acting on them.
Actively pursue and learn the technology and functionality of the production equipment and processes.
Actively partake in Continuous Improvement initiatives including process improvement, equipment upgrades etc.
To be successful, you will need :
High school diploma or equivalent.
High mechanical aptitude
Ability to read / write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
Working in a role with measurable standards and a dynamic production environment.
Depth perception and manual dexterity.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Previous experience in an optical lab production environment is strongly preferred but not required.
Physical demands you will expect in your work environment :
Regularly stand / walk for the duration of shift.
Consistently lift and move up to 15lb above shoulder height and waist high unaccompanied.
The noise level in the laboratory is generally moderate.
Regularly required to work with or around chemicals.
Work area may be wet / dirty and or have a strong smell.
