NESCO Resource is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Livonia, MI
Summary: This position performs highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment. This is completed per safety and maintenance systems and processes to support the environment of the facility's business goals and objectives.
Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional OT
Pay: $22/hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform general facility housekeeping including waste and recycling removal and floor scrubbing
- Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of company facilities and equipment; prioritize, schedule, or coordinate the work of assigned staff and or contractors to accomplish a wide variety of duties related to the building trades
- Construct, rebuild, and repair company-specific equipment and furniture; prepare surfaces for painting and varnishing and apply surface coverings as required
- Maintain all maintenance records for HVAC, fire prevention/suppression, and emergency lighting
- Participate in 5S safety audits
- Assist in the purchase, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and fixtures; perform troubleshooting to repair or replace fans and motors; perform repairs to motors and lighting circuits
- Performs monthly checks of battery water levels in all battery-equipped electric equipment
- Performs work requiring skills including, but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, HVAC, and other tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager
- Provides scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of facility equipment
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Email, and Web usage
- Strong organizational skills
