NESCO Resource is Hiring a Driver/Warehouse Worker Near Cranberry Twp, PA
Days: Monday - Friday
Shift Times: 8am - 4:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive materials from trucks and transport to storage areas.
- Manually move materials from storage areas to loading dock.
- Pack, unpack and store items to be stocked on shelves in designated areas.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Verify inventory and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to appropriate customers or coworkers.
- Provide assistance or direction to other associates when needed.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess and fulfill supply needs.
- Communicate with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
- Operate forklifts and manual jacks safely.
- Accurately prepare orders for delivery and properly load materials into delivery trucks.
- Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to all OSHA guidelines and NSI Safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Valid PA Driver's License.
- 4 years of truck driving experience (No CDL required).
- Ability to drive a 26 foot truck.
- Willingness to obtain a DOT card.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise.
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb and reach.
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 50-75 pounds.
