Job Description : Press Brake Operator

Position Type : Full-time (1st or 2nd Shift)

Position Status : Non-exempt

Summary : Operate CNC Press Brake equipment. Enter programs into controller and cycle forming sequence using required tooling and gaging.

Continue production run after receiving approval. Complete all required documentation. Work shift of 8 to 10 hours daily, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday shifts as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Safety
• Follow all safety policies set by the Safety Coordinator
• Use all required personal protective equipment
• Ensure all processes are completed in a safe manner
• Identify and report any safety-related issues
• Quality
• Follow all procedures and quality requirements
• Complete in-process inspections using various testing equipment
• Identify and report any non-conforming materials
• Quantity
• Complete work as scheduled by the department supervisor
• Work diligently to meet efficiency metrics consistently
• Identify and report any process-related issues or inefficiencies

Secondary Duties and Skills :

• Follow all policies and procedures of the Employee Manual
• Read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications
• Ability to interpret and execute written and verbal job instructions
• Sheet metal working background preferred, not required
• Operator multiple machines or processes as needed
• Complete weekly cleaning and operator-level maintenance as required
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Work in a team-based environment
• Basic math and computer skills

Job Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand verbal and written communications by Supervisor / Manager and Nesco Resource expectations
• Must be able to pass required drug testing and physical
• Able to lift 42 pounds

Work Environment :

• Manufacturing environment with adequate lighting and ventilation
• There is an elevated level of noise and activity inside the work facility

Work Demands :

• Ability to function in a loud, fast-paced production facility while observing all safety requirements
• Work required overtime, as necessary, to meet customer demands
• Must adapt and cope with stressful situations for extended periods
• Able to stand for the duration of the shift along with some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing throughout the shift

Pay : $17.00 - 29.00 per / hour

Hours : Hours : 1st shift working Monday - Friday 5am - 230pm

2nd shift working Monday-Thursday 3pm-130am, and Friday 3pm-1130pm
