Overview
The Production Engineer must have proven experience leading Kaizen's and project management to drive change and project management to drive change and is responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, fabrication and assembly, cost reduction initiatives, processing of engineering changes, and introduction of new products.
Typical process engineering tasks such as BOM and routing maintenance.
Also provides guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, technicians, and operation support staff.
Capable of development of project plans, execution of capital projects, and significant activities requiring a multi-functional team.
The Production Engineer is a team player, results-oriented, dedicated to excellence and strong work ethics.
Responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills
· Advanced understanding and knowledge of manufacturing engineering theory, processes, and practice.
· Skilled in at least one of the following areas - tooling, fabrication, assembly processes, controls, or product development support in a manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of specifications and standards used in the HVAC industry.
· Proficient with lean manufacturing concepts - Kaizan, value stream mapping, Kanban, line balancing & time studies.
· Proficient with core manufacturing documentation and all aspects of manufacturing in a high-volume environment.
· Software skills including MS Office Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Mapics
· Proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
· Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective project management skills.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills to deliver the message to any level of the organization.
· Effective interpersonal & collaboration skills.
