Primary work location, Brooklyn, NY

Field Position - traveling around the 5 NY boroughs

Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island

Must have AIR MONITORING experience.
Experience with DRILLING & SAMPLING is a plus.
40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER Certification

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Applies experience and increasing proficiency in the use of environmental practices, and company policies.

* Conduct air monitoring, photo documentation, and follow work plan and safety plan requirements.

* Regularly interacts with other employees and representatives from a variety of suppliers, subcontractors, and clients on project.

* Perform AIR MONITORING.

* Report writing experience, writing investigation reports and doing logs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 4-year degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science or related field, and 1-3 years of environmental/engineering experience.

* 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training (and up-to-date refresher) is preferred. If training is required, training must be completed prior to onboarding.

* First Aid & CPR certifications will be required to start but can obtain after offer acceptance.

* OSHA 10 Hour Construction preferred

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
* This assignment will include working in an industrial environment, potentially under adverse weather conditions.

* May require the equivalent of lifting of up to 50lbs repeatedly over the course of a four to five hour period.

* Long periods of standing and walking required.

* Familiarity with tasks and techniques typically associated with environmental field work.

* Requires a fundamental knowledge of environmental sites, and sound safety minded judgment

* Ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
