We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs relating to building and civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs
- Preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities
- Managing project finances and ensuring financial control
- Performing risk and value management to optimize project outcomes
- Providing advice on contractual claims
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
Requirements:
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Strong negotiation skills for contract agreements
- Knowledge of cost control, project management, and construction management principles
- Ability to price, analyze, and manage construction projects effectively
- Familiarity with building regulations and legal guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or related field
- Professional certification is a plus
