Overview:
This position will involve training to be a generator rotor assembler. This will require the ability to work to written instructions, be familiar with the use of a computer, safety focused mindset with attention to detail, working in teams, approachable attitude, being able to accept constructive feedback, and clear communication skills.
The rotor assembly process involves installing various parts from small hand held components to working with others installing large shrunk on parts that are heated for either assembly or disassembly. There is also the possibility of becoming certified in special processes such as operating the curing furnace.
The duties will also include disassembling of the same type of components. Additional duties include installing other related components as well as cleaning parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths. Must have the ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
Mark and tag components as needed to ensure proper place keeping of process steps as well as identifying where certain parts need to be installed. Installation techniques will involve positioning, aligning, and custom fitting various components.
Must be able to communicate with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems. Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers once you become experienced.
