Job Description
This job is a blend of hospitality and taking orders for our busy Mercato. You will often be responsible for making sure the area is clean, stocked and organized. The most important aspect of this position is friendly customer service to ensure guests will return.
- Greet and answer questions
- Promote products and menu items
- Take customers orders for sandwiches/deli meats/salads
- Prepare and make sandwiches/salads
- Maintain a clean and tidy counter area
- Restock items needed for counter area
- Slice deli meats/cheeses/veggies through the slicer
- Previous POS experience. Familiarity with Toast is a plus
Qualifications
- Must present a neat and professional appearance
- Must be willing to learn how to slice through a deli slicer or have previous experience
- Able to work as a team with other staff members
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
Language Preference
- Fluent in English, Spanish as a second language is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour tips
