Position Summary

As an IT Project Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of various IT projects within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical experts to drive project success. Your leadership and communication skills will be essential in guiding teams through project lifecycles and addressing challenges that may arise.

Essential Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

  • Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely updates.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Address any concerns or issues that may arise during project execution.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor resource utilization and adjust assignments as needed to optimize productivity.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and monitor quality standards to ensure that deliverables meet established requirements.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the functionality and reliability of IT solutions.

Budget Management:

  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control project expenditures.

Change Management:

  • Facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes within the organization.
  • Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders and support them through the transition.

Post-Project Evaluation:

  • Conduct post-project reviews to analyze successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Document lessons learned and incorporate feedback into future projects.

Education/Experience:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise with various operating systems: Windows and Linux.
  • Proven experience (5 years) managing IT teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth understanding of IT systems, and technical concepts.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
