Job Summary:
As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Investment Operations team in various aspects of the investment process for OCIO portfolios. In this highly visible and fast paced role, you will be part of a team responsible for overseeing all aspects of trading OCIO client portfolios including trade execution and settlement, audit support, portfolio policy monitoring, cash management and reconciliation. These activities involve interfacing with hedge fund managers, private equity managers, asset management firms, custodian banks and fund administrators. While your focus will be on the trading and reconciliation process, you will be able to learn all aspects of managing OCIO portfolios depending on your interests and desire to learn new things. You will be responsible for ensuring NEPC's trading records are reconciled to the custodians' records and differences are resolved in an accurate and timely manner. Resolution will require interaction with custodian banks, fund managers, senior team members, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitate trade execution and settlement for assigned portfolios
  • Reconcile client holdings to ensure all portfolios are accurate for trading
  • Ensure reference data for client investments are accurate
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all activity for each client portfolio for activities assigned to you
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and fund managers
Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, a self-starter with strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities. You must be able to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, both oral and written. Highly advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint are also necessary. Experience in portfolio accounting and order management systems a plus. College degree or equivalent experience required. Some experience in investments at a consulting firm, asset manager or custodian preferred. A candidate with a demonstrated curiosity to learn, entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in being part of a fast-growing team is a plus!
