The Women’s Health Clinic Charge Nurse, under the direction of the Specialty Clinic Manager, is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the Women’s Health Clinic.

The Clinic Charge Nurse supervises daily operations, resource management, and performance improvement activity for the Women’s Health Clinic. The Clinic Charge Nurse encourages excellence in patient care and demonstrates personal competence in the clinical knowledge, skills, and technology ordinarily employed in the care of patients at NMRMC.

The Clinic Charge Nurse provides leadership to the Clinic team by utilizing avenues of open communication and leads efforts to continually improve the quality of all Clinic services. Responsible for the overall operation of the Clinic, including but not limited to, the application of the nursing process to the clinic patient and managing clinic staff. The Clinic Charge Nurse’s responsibilities and time will be split evenly (50/50) between clinical duties and administrative duties.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Normal days of operation are Monday through Friday but may be required to work varying hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred, but not required. 

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:

• Current Kansas RN or LPN License.
• BLS- Satisfactory course completion with current card or ability to complete within 3 months.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least two years' experience as an RN is required. 
• OB/GYN experience is preferred, but not required.
