Position Summary

Neogene Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated individual in the fields of engineering to join the Summer Internship Program for 29 hours per week! We are looking for an individual who seeks day-to-day engineering activities, results-oriented, possess great attitude, demonstrate creativity and innovation, work efficiently, and have a passion to learn.

The Temperature Mapping Specialist Intern is responsible for working with the Facilities & Engineering teams to help perform temperature mapping of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Storage Spaces using temperature sensors and collecting data over a period of several weeks. This position is based in Santa Monica, CA and reports to Sr. Director of Facilities & Engineering.

Job assignments are usually for the summer for short periods during breaks from school.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a protocol or execution guide for temperature mapping of storage space for GMP materials.
• Assist in installing temperature sensors per specified calculation requirements and gather data.
• Work under the guidance engineers to complete assigned work.
• Review work for completeness and accuracy.

Education and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing.
• Must be enrolled in a technical degree with interest in heat transfer.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Teams
• Detail oriented & Ability to follow directions.
• Basic working knowledge of energy transfer as it relates to conduction, convection, & radiation.
