Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team in Waterville and other central Maine locations. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure, Installation, configuration and maintenance of Wireless Networks (AP's), Paging Systems and Surveillance systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for networking.
Duties:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and devices
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on network infrastructure
- Document network configurations and changes
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity issues
-Design, install and troubleshoot Networks (Wired and Wireless), Intercom and Paging systems and Surveillance systems.
-Help out our Structured Cabling team as needed.
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Proven experience in network administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and routing protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and encryption protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This is an entry level position and the successful candidate will also be required to assist in Structured Cabling installations.
